Just what does apologetics mean and where does this word come from. What are we talking about when we are discussing apologetics? Can you please explain this to me? This verse explains why we do it: 1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
How can the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John be describing the same historical events when they don't say the same thing and provide matching details? When detectives collect eye-witness accounts from crime scenes, the witnesses rarely say the same things because each person has their own unique perspective of the event. This is the reason the gospels in the Bible seem to contradict one another but in reality they don't.
What causes us to worship God? It's not because He made us, or because He offers us eternal life, or because He is expecting us to worship Him, and not because He demands it. We worship God because of His holiness and glory and because the response of a person who loves God is to worship Him freely and willingly. I want to worship God, I was made to worship Him and I love worshiping Him!
